The Global Earth Day Gratitude Celebration
The Global Earth Day Gratitude Celebration.
March 30, 2016
On Earth Day, April 22, 2016, people on six different continents will be celebrating a new ritual for Earth Day. Mothers have a holiday. Fathers have a holiday. Lovers have a holiday. And now, for the first time ever, individuals around the planet will be honoring Mother Earth in the best way possible -- by giving thanks for all of the beauty, bounty and livlihood she provides each of us in the best way possible, with our actions. From 7:30-8:30 p.m. (in your own time zone), plan on powering up the gratitude and powering down the grid, getting as close to personal net zero as you can.
As Deepak Chopra reminds us, "“We call her “the environment,” but [Earth] is our extended body that nourishes our existence in every moment of our life… Let us work to keep her sustainable, so we may in turn be nourished and sustained.”
Prince Charles, Deepak Chopra, The Earth Day Network, Life is Good, the Downtown Project, Ron Finley, Lynne Twist, Rickie Byars Beckwith, Master Sha, Living Homes and more have all come together to promote the first ever global Earth Day Gratitude celebration on April 22, 2016.
